THE NEW CHAMPION HAS BEEN BORN

National Applied Science Olympiad (OSTN) at Central Java Provincial Level Year 2011 has ended and new champions were born. The best students of SMK Negeri 1 Temanggung proudly presented their best achievement in the Province of Central Java. Having previously won the applied science olympiad national competitions at the regency level, the brightest students of SMK Negeri 1 Temanggung moved forward to provincial level. These students of SMK Negeri 1 Temanggung swept away the first, second, third, and fourth champion trophies of the competition. They took the first and second places for chemical competition, became the third champion in mathematic technology championship and got the second place for physics. At Central Java Provincial Level, the students of SMK Negeri 1 Temanggung succeeded to win two gold medals (first champion) in Applied Biology by Nur Hidayah and in Applied Chemistry by Neny Rahmawati, and two bronze medals (third champion) in Applied Biology by Fitri Sulistyaningrum and in Applied Chemistry by Oktaviani Arum. For winning the gold medals, these students received coaching cash assistance as much as 5 million rupiahs, and for winning the bronze medals the students received cash assistance as much as  2 million rupiahs. All efforts had been done to best prepare for the competition, although there were shortcomings here and there. Nevertheless these shortcomings were not perceived as hindrance. Moreover, they were taken as challenge to climb up the championship ladder. Bravo for the champions.

SMK Negeri 1 Temanggung or better known as STM Pembangunan Temanggung (STEMBA) has begun accepting students since 1973. Until now this school has graduated more than 6,000 alumni scattered across the archipelago and many of them are successful in their career world as Supervisors, Managers, and some are even abroad. Each year the graduates of this school are always readily absorbed in the business and industrial world. They occupy various positions in various companies and many of them become successful entrepreneurs. This school has been accredited with "A ACCREDITATION STATUS". In the year 2006/2007 it has received recognition from the SAI GLOBAL AUSTRALIA with the Certificate of Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001: 2008. Since the 2008/2009 school year this school has opened an international class. Therefore SMK Negeri 1 Temanggung has developed to become an international school (SBI), with 3 (three) Competency Study Programs (Competency Skills), namely:
